Alfredo Scott of Wild Bird Tours was instrumental in making our first trip to Costa Rica a wonderful experience. With only sketchy Spanish, we and our 5 year old daughter had a bird, animal, tree, and flower filled ten days we’ll never forget. We chose to work with Wild Bird Tours only on a web-site acquaintance, but came to rely on Alfredo completely. Unlike other guides, he was absolutely reliable in the arrangements he made for us and tactful as well as useful in the advice he proffered. He set up a car rental, made lodge reservations for the places we knew we wanted to visit, and suggested fine alternatives to some of our less sensible plans. Both of the lodges he suggested turned out to be excellent. And instead of the inflated rates some other guides offered, his were consistently reasonable. We’re particularly in his debt because he went wildly beyond normal assistance for us. When we had to make minor adjustments to our plans in the weeks before the trip, he was completely accommodating. And when we had to cancel our trip at last minute—at the airport–, he helped us redo our plans and save our deposits for a trip that turned out to be two months later than we’d originally planned. And for this doubled work, he charged us not a cent more! We know who we’ll turn to next time we come to Costa Rica; we recommend Alfredo and Wild Bird Tours with the greatest of enthusiasm.
